Neoprene is a general-purpose rubber with excellent performance. Neoprene is produced by emulsion polymerization of chloroprene.
Due to the presence of chlorine in the molecule, chloroprene rubber can resist the swelling of hydrocarbon solvents. It also has high oxidation resistance and ozone resistance.
Neoprene products are available in dry or latex form. The main applications of neoprene in the form of dry glue are oil-resistant, heat-resistant, flame-retardant and wear-resistant pipes, belts, elastic sheets, flexible assemblies and gaskets. Latex is mainly used as latex products such as water-based adhesives and gloves.
Due to the performance reasons, some applications of neoprene will continue to be replaced by other rubbers.
